The Appointed Time

“Do you know what hour it is?”

This was the sobering question that the prophet Daniel asked us in a dream. The message was understood: it wasn’t enough to know the general times and seasons. To function as Daniel did in certain realms of spiritual warfare, we would need to recognize the specific hour in which we live. This comes only by revelation and time spent with God.

Last year, during the 222 Conference in Colorado Springs, we had a meeting with various leaders in which we discussed the lunar calendar and how Israel is God’s time clock in the earth. Later that night, we received a dream in which a clock appeared in a pitch-black sky. While peering into the darkness, a sliver of light finally became visible. A portion of the sun could now be seen shining like a slice of pie between the 12 and the 1 on the face of the clock. It was 1 o’clock.

In the ancient Jewish reckoning of daylight hours, the first hour began around sunrise. Instantly, it was understood that we were supposed to be experiencing the light of a new day, but instead, we were experiencing a solar eclipse that had thrust the world into a deceptive darkness. As a measure of light began to break through, a massive sea serpent became visible in the ocean. We could see its head, which was enormous—much larger than the body of a man.

On Wednesday, during a Zoom call with some seasoned leaders, one of them shared similar revelation concerning Leviathan’s involvement in the spiritual battle surrounding Israel and the Middle East. We also discussed the prince of Persia and the prophet Daniel’s firsthand experience with the enemy seeking to change times and seasons. This has been a recurring theme in our prophetic intel. Both of these topics brought this earlier serpent dream back to the forefront.

Interestingly, we also became aware that there was a solar eclipse on Wednesday that was visible in parts of Europe. This was the first total eclipse since the dream last year. It seems the Holy Spirit is emphasizing the significance of that dream for right now. As we approach multiple strategic prayer gatherings over the coming days and weeks, we believe it is crucial for the ekklesia to be prepared to realign the earth with heaven’s timetable and take back the authority that has been relinquished to the demonic realm.

The Lord made it clear to us during the Yeshua Fast of 2021 that He had ordained a time of favor for Israel and global harvest among the Gentile nations. The following passage was given to us in a remarkable prophetic dream in which a fig tree and vine both blossomed simultaneously:

You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and show favor to her dust. So the nations shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth Your glory. For the Lord shall build up Zion. He shall appear in His glory. He shall regard the prayer of the destitute, and shall not despise their prayer. —Psalm 102:13–17

A similar concept was reiterated yesterday by one of the leaders who spoke by revelation, saying, "We’re supposed to come into a season of peace!” Yet, in these recent years, instead of peace, all hell has broken loose. Since October 7, 2023, a shadow of death has hovered over Israel. Meanwhile, the nations have teetered on the brink of World War III. For the Jews, and for many of the oppressed peoples living under radical Islamic rule, it has seemed to be the dark of night.

Does this mean the revelation was not accurate? Quite the opposite! The Lord has revealed His purposes to His people so that we can stand in agreement with Him and legislate His times and seasons until, once again, “the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and on those dwelling in the region and shadow of death a light has dawned” (Matthew 4:16). The ekklesia has been in an extended season of training, but recent revelation has confirmed to us that it is time to go to war! We believe this must involve enforcing the Lord’s timetable on a global scale. Daniel 7:25–26 says:

He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time. But the court shall be seated, and they shall take away his dominion…

The following dreams hold some important keys and cautions for us as we seek to execute the dominion that God has entrusted to His people (Gen. 1:26).

Several years ago, Chris Berglund dreamed of governmental proceedings in a heavenly council room. [see The Briefing 026—The Mercy Seat] He watched Jonathan Edwards, one of the fathers of the First Great Awakening, approach the witness stand and began issuing the following declarations:

- I command “the awakening time is now upon us” to be agreed with on earth as it is in Heaven.

- I command those who have been given charge over angel armies to take their place and release those armies.

- I command those who are to make us complete to now be about the Father’s business.

- I command His beloved to come forth.

- I command the eagles’ wings to be healed and fly in strength once again.

In this dream, Chris also saw angelic highways being paved by intercessors’ declarations and faith-filled prayers. Neither the covens nor the demons were able to withstand the decrees that were going forth. This is the power of prayers that originate from on high. This dream enlarged our understanding of the interactive partnership we have in the unseen realm with the angels and the saints who have gone before us. Jonathan Edwards’ demonstration of authoritative commands also provided a helpful example of heavenly protocol.

In another dream, Lou and Chris were with other leaders who had joined us in a brick building to pray. We were reading Psalm 74 about crushing the heads of Leviathan. It was a sober moment as we talked about the need to be covered while exerting authority over the nation and other regions. There were witches trying to discern who was leading these meetings so they could exert their curses through open doors within the families of those leading.

You divided the sea by Your strength; You broke the heads of the sea serpents in the waters. You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces, and gave him as food to the people inhabiting the wilderness. You broke open the fountain and the flood; You dried up mighty rivers. —Psalm 74:13–15

We stepped outside and were immediately standing at the edge of the water. We could see a Leviathan-like creature that was furious about our reading of this Psalm. It raised its head above the surface, but we were aware that his body extended hundreds of feet into the water below.

As the dream continued, the leaders discussed how Solomon had been given great wealth and honor because he asked for wisdom to govern. Someone explained how this touched something deep in the heart of the Trinity. God the Father was pleased to give Solomon all these other things because He longed to restore governing authority within man. Sadly, however, Solomon did not maintain intimacy with the Lord throughout his life and reign. In the dream, Lou said, “We must not shy away from governing in the earth, but we must hear the decrees of heaven for today.”

Months ago, Lou set aside time during Passover to hear from the Lord regarding these global shifts we have been anticipating. Surprisingly, he received only an intimate, personal dream. In the dream, he was in a side room, apart from the other leaders and ministry conversations. There he heard the lyrics and melody of an old, familiar hymn: “Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord…”

Lou began to sing this song as part of his daily devotional life. He testifies to the sweet season of intimacy he has experienced in recent months as he has prioritized closeness with God over busyness in ministry. May this inspire each of us to press on to seek the Lord in our own lives and to cultivate a depth of history with Him in the secret place. Meanwhile, let us also be expectant as we rally around those whom God has raised up in this hour to lead us in corporate intercession. Let’s agree in prayer for protection for them and their families.

Finally, let us take our place in the assembly of God’s people and stretch out the scepter of His righteous rule in the nations. Let’s declare together that a new day is dawning in the Middle East. The appointed time has come for the light of His countenance to shine upon Israel and upon those who sit in darkness.
